Services and payment options

I would like to personally thank you for the opportunity to provide you and your family with the highest quality oral healthcare! I understand that dental treatment can be a significant monetary investment and our office strives to keep our fees at or below the average for our area. It is our sincere intention to provide you with the best possible treatment option without putting you under undue financial stress. Our office offers several payment options to help you achieve this.

- Dr. Shephard

We accept cash, check, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, and CareCredit as forms of payment.

For routine dental care such as exams, x-rays, cleanings, and fillings, we ask that payment be made in full at the time of the appointment (less the amount covered by insurance if applicable). This decreases our cost of billing, allowing us to keep our fees at a reasonable level.

One Appointment Procedures

For procedures requiring more than one appointment and/or laboratory involvement (such as some root canals, crowns, bridges, and prosthetic appliances), we request that half of your portion be paid at the start of the procedure with the remaining balance becoming due at the time of final completion.

Multiple Appointment Procedures

For some patients that require extensive dental rehabilitation, the “sticker shock” of the overall proposed treatment can seem overwhelming. Please be aware that major treatment plans can almost always be broken down into phases in order to allow you to take it slow and pay over a longer period of time. This has the added benefit of helping you to maximize your insurance coverage (if applicable).

Phased Treatment

We also offer CareCredit (a third-party financing company) for those patients who may need a little more flexibility in meeting their financial obligations. Certain plans even qualify for six or twelve-months of free financing! More information can be found by following the CareCredit link or calling our office. The process is simple and your qualification can be determined online or at your first appointment. Many patients have found this to be a great option for comprehensive treatment plans and when considering elective esthetic treatment not usually covered by insurance (such as veneers).
